JOB CREATION

Due to the nature of the service that we provide, we need staff to assist in the processing and preparation of the food. In doing this, we also wanted to help the very people whose children are suffering.

We employ five full time workers to do the cooking and blanching, they are supervised by ladies qualified in bulk cooking. We also make use of casual labour to assist our full time staff with the preparation of vegetables received from farmers.

Our aim is twofold, feed the children and create jobs. We are trying to provide people with a basic skill – and give them a pride in doing something to alleviate the pain and hunger that they see so often around them. Our mission is to give hope for the future – for without hope, we are all nothing.

WHAT WE ARE ABLE TO PRODUCE AT PRESENT

We currently produce up to 14,000 cooked meals per month. We also supply various institutions, preparing meals and soup for the needy, with the vegetables we process. With your help we hope to increase our cooked food to an additional 5000 meals per month on an annual basis.

We believe that feeding our children is the first thing we have to do – we can only help them to a better life once we have saved them from hunger.
